About Us
Project R3CON was co-founded by Travis Wilson, a retired U.S. Army Special Forces veteran and the Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer (CSMO) at Kalbio, and Rakel Apodaca, the owner of Kalbio and The Stem Cell Sports Institute of Southern California. Their combined vision brings together Travis’ personal journey of recovery and commitment to the veteran community, with Rakel’s pioneering expertise in cellular therapy, biologics, and clinic development.
Together, they launched Project R3CON to ensure that the SOF community has access to the same life changing treatments that have helped special operators and elite athletes reclaim their quality of life.
We launched Project R3CON to provide the SOF community with access to life-changing stem cell therapy, treatment that many of us, including our founder Travis Wilson, experienced firsthand. Built by veterans, Project R3CON was created to fill the gap where traditional care falls short. Our goal is to help those suffering from traumatic brain injuries reclaim their health, restore their sense of purpose, and return to life with strength and dignity.
Understanding that most veterans cannot afford regenerative care, we created the Project R3con to raise funds for those in need. In partnership with respected foundations, doctors, and laboratories with over a decade of stem cell experience, we identify and treat Special Operators who meet the criteria for this transformative care.
This work is deeply personal. Every life we help restore is a way of honoring the commitment, sacrifice, and resilience of our nation’s warriors. At Project R3CON, we’re not just offering treatment, we’re restoring hope, purpose, and quality of life.
Our Team
Veteran-led. Mission-driven. United in healing those who served.
